Ms. Mary A Lewis

Mary Alice Lewis was born August 6, 1936, in Shellman,
Georgia, to the late Mamie and Henry Davis, who preceded her in death.

Mary was known by the name Shugg. Mary Lewis was a loving and fun person
to be around. She was an educator and graduated from Albany State College.
Mary taught school until her beloved husband became ill and she gave up her
career to care for him until his death. She loved doing things such as going to
school and going to church with the family.

On June 5, 2019, Mrs. Mary Lewis was called to come home to be with her Lord
and Savior. Mary Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lewis, and
her two brothers, Walter L. Davis and Willie B. Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a very devoted niece, Dorothy (Eddie) Glasco
of Albany, GA; a daughter, Gwenlyn Davis of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren,
Sonnetra Smith and Bryan Smith, and three great-grandchildren, all of Atlanta,
GA; one brother, R.L. Davis of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Elouise Sisroe of
Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
