Mr. John Jackson

Mr. John Jackson of 411 North 4th Avenue Cordele, Georgia slipped away on October 29, 2020, surrounded by his family at his residence.

The graveside funeral service to be attended by the immediate family ONLY will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020,  at 12 noon at the Bethel Cemetery of Cordele, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Public Viewing will be on Friday, November 6, 2020, from 2-5 pm at The Bentley Carson Memorial Funeral Home in Cordele, Ga.

Mr. John Jackson Jr. was born on September 22, 1953,
to the parents of the late Mr. John Jackson and Mrs.
Clara Mae Adams Jackson
John “inchworm” as all his friends called him attended
the schools of Crisp County, he attended the Nursing for
Riley Institute in Cordele Ga with awesome achievements
and was awarded lots of hard work and dedication.
He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age.
John was a loving father, grandfather, brother, nephew,
uncle, babysitter, and friend. You might come in with
your head hanging down, but when you leave him your
head will be up.
John our father, grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle,
babysitter, and friend transformed from Earth to Glory
on Thursday, October 29, 20202 at his residence. God
spoke and said your work is done, and your race has
been won, come to me and will give you rest, from your
labor. He was preceded in death by his loving mother
Clara Mae Trotter, his loving father John Jackson Sr., his
loving sister Bonnie Mae Porter.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving daughter,
Raquela Simmons along with her 2 kids all of Warner
Robins, Ga; his loving son Sébastien Blackburn, his
spouse and 8 kids all of Texas; his loving siblings; Joeann
(Charles) Kerr, Brenda (Walter) Edwards, Martha Ann
Jackson, Carl Anthony (Lula) Jackson, Kenneth Bernard
Jackson, all of Cordele, Ga, William Thomas (Donna)
Jackson of New Orleans, La, Donna Faye Kearse of
Cocoa, Fla; a loving aunt, Mrs. Grace Adams Patrick; a
a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
