Bobby Joe Johnson Sr.

Obituary Bobby Joe Johnson, Sr. “Bishop”, was born on June 20, 1953, in Vienna, Dooly County, Georgia, to the late Mr. Willie C. Ross and the late Mrs. Mary Lou Relerfold Johnson. Bobby attended the public schools of Dooly County through 5th grade, when the family moved to Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia. He attended Crisp County Schools through 9th grade and then went to Job Corp, where he finished school and learned a trade as a heavy equipment operator and a plumber. After completing Job Corp, Bobby returned to Cordele, where he lived until 1984. He moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for a few months and moved to Panama City, Florida. Bobby departed his earthly journey on Friday, April 19, 2019, at Capital Regional Medical Center. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Willie C. Ross, mother, Mrs. Mary Lou Johnson, brothers, Wiley Johnson Jr., and Eddie Charles Johnson, and sisters, Annie Lou Bryant Jones and Helen Johnson. Bobby leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Bobby Joe Johnson Jr., of Cordele, GA; his daughter, Reme L. Gregges of Panama City, FL; a grandson, Zamari Hewitt of Panama City, FL; brothers, Willie James Johnson of Avon Park, FL, Willie B. Johnson (Annie) of Toledo, OH, and Pastor Clarence Johnson (Annie W.) of Cordele, GA; sisters, Jestine K. Beall of Jacksonville, FL, Pastor Joann Reddick (Roy C.) of Albany, GA, his twin, Bobbie Ann Ross of Pontoon Beach, IL, Henrie Mae Johnson of Cordele, GA, and Dr. Rosia Knighton of Tifton, GA; a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and devoted friends, Anita Edwards, Wanda, and David of Panama City, FL.
