Mr. Willie James Akins, Jr., 70, was born on October 10, 1949, in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia to the late Willie James Akins, Sr. and the late Susie Mae Akins.

Willie was educated in the Crisp County Public School Systems. Willie was a lover of fishing, hunting, and making people laugh. On January 7, 2020, Willie made his final journey to be with the Lord. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Saxon Akins, and his siblings, Wilene Todd and Lillian Cross. Willie will be forever remembered by his loving and devoted family including daughter, Mrs. Keisha (Corey) Parker; three grandchildren, Janine, Justin, and Jazmine Gaines all of North Carolina; four sisters and brothers, Betty (Robert) Clark, Deacon Charlie (Jean) Akins, Joseph Akins, and Melvin Leon Akins all of Cordele, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many sorrowing friends.
