Mr. Sherman Edward Harvey was born on December 5, 1955 in Crisp County, Georgia to the union of Mrs. Annie Glenn Harvey and the late Mr. John Eddie Harvey. Affectionately known as "Harvey", he was a graduate of Crisp County High School Class of 1974. As a youth, he attended the Mildale Baptist Church and later in life he became a faithful member of Odum Grove Baptist Church.
Growing up, Sherman worked with his father and became a jack of all trades, which included a farmer, manager of barbeque restaurants, a welder and landlord. Later he established his own successful business, Harvey’s Mobile Home and Moving Service.
