Barbara Denise Mitchell was born on December
3, 1993. God blessed the late Elijah and Patricia
Mitchell with a daughter whom they named
Barbara Denise Mitchell. She was educated in
educated in the Crisp County School System
where she attended Crisp County High School
in Cordele, Georgia. She loved family
gatherings because she loved cooking her
delicious meals and serving them to her family.
On Saturday, July 13, 2024, God saw a need to
pick one of his precious flowers on this side of
Jordan and He chose Barbara. She leaves her
legacy to her loving and devoted daughter,
Nakaya Na’Cora Mitchell in Cordele, Georgia;
three loving sisters: Ann Mitchell and Tonya
Lamar both of Cordele, Georgia and Caroline
Jones of Warwick, Georgia; six devoted
brothers: Dwayne Waters, Quinten Waters,
Elijah Mitchell, Jr. all of Cordele, Georgia;
Lorenzo Lamar of Albany, Georgia, Remeico
Felton of Macon, Georgia and Travis Drayton of
Savannah, Georgia; five aunts: Cynthia Waters,
Shanda Waters, Sabrina Waters, Melissa
Waters and Regina Paul; eight uncles: Eddie B.
Carter, Jay Mitchell, Troy Mitchell, Tom
Waters, Jr., David Waters, Chris Waters,
Johnny Mack and Thomas Nelson and many
other sorrowing relatives and friends.
