Obituary

Labrena Vanessa Smith was born February 4, 1978, to Ralph and Martha Smith.

She spent the early part of her life in Albany, Georgia, with family and friends. Labrena joined
Mount Olive Baptist Church of Albany, Georgia.

Labrena was full of life and loved to cook, bake pies, and was always willing to help you. She kept a
smile on her face and never wanted to see anyone around her sad. Labrena had a giving heart. If you
knew Brena, you know she loved having a good time, especially with family. After 2003, Labrena
moved to Atlanta, Georgia, for a change of scenery. Labrena pursued her career as a CNA for a few
years. She was a very independent and strong mother of three beautiful children. Labrena would
have her ups and down, but she always kept her faith high. No matter what, she would always say
her prayers.

On Sunday, March 8, 2020, our loving sister, daughter, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend’s
earthly journey came to a peaceful end. Her transition from life to life eternal, now allows her to
join her father, Ralph S. Smith.

Left to cherish her loving memories: her loving mother, Martha A. Smith of Vienna, Georgia; three
beautiful children, Tervona Brenay Belcher of Atlanta, Georgia, Amarlie Jania Smith, and Jeff
J’sa’ah King, both who resided with her; two beautiful sisters, Barbara Countryman of Atlanta,
Georgia, and Ramona Brown of Asheville, North Carolina; many uncles and aunts, Leroy Adkins of
Michigan City, Indiana, Joseph Adkins of Ashburn, Georgia, Nathan and Jane Bartell of Ashburn,
Georgia, Paul Adkins, Johnny Adkins, Peter Adkins, Ethel Adkins, and Barbara Adkins of Cordele,
Georgia, Alice Bastein, and Joeann Adkins; a host of very close and dear cousins; loving nieces,
nephews, and many sorrowing friends; a devoted and loving father, Terry Belcher; and very special
friend and sister, Tonya Williams.
