Mrs. Gloria Jean Ethridge was born May 30, 1963 in
Reynolds, Georgia to the late Eugene Hicks, Sr and Annie Lee
Ethridge. On Friday August 9, 2024 our Heavenly Father called his
beloved daughter home to her eternal rest. Gloria was known to
many as Tammy.
Tammy was a loving person and would help any and everybody.
She dedicated herself to God, her children, and most of all her
grandchildren. She attended the Taylor County Public Schools. She
was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church of Warner Robins,
Georgia. Tammy was an employee of Papa’s Place and Roberta
Healthcare for many years and for a brief time at Purdue Farms.
Tammy will always be remembered as a strong and warmhearted
person.
She leaves to cherish her memories four children: April (Lewis)
Wright and Ashley Etheridge of Warner Robins, Georgia, Bobby
(Takella) Gooch of Macon, Georgia, Latonya Gooch of Statesboro,
Georgia: 18 grandchildren: JaVen Gooch, Jason Parham II,
Quelasha McCutchen, Jaylen Parham, Davian Gooch, Jade Ross,
Tyler Ross, Morgan Gooch, Jakobe Raines, Aalayah Ross,
De’Anthony Ross, MaKenna Gooch, Ayanna Raines, Riley Gooch,
Ashton Ethridge, Raelyn Gooch, Tiana Everett, Kaleb Everett;
three brother: Jimmy Ethridge of Fort Valley, Georgia, Eugene
(Sylvia) Hicks Jr. of Reynolds, Georgia, and Melvin (Joyce)
Ethridge of Warner Robins, Georgia; two sisters: Bunndine
(Solomon) Peacock of Fort Valley, and Mary Holston of Fort Valley,
Georgia; two aunts: Minnie Corbin of Fort Valley, Georgia and
Verlinda Troutman of Atlanta, Georgia. A devoted niece she reared
as her own Arriel Ethridge. A host of bonus grandchildren she felt
was hers. A host of nieces, nephews, and may devoted friends
including Debrah Harp, Keisha Chase, Tracy Ogburn, Mary Botise,
Bryant Scott, Calvin Ross Jr., Sylvester Terrell, John Dugger,
James Knottingham, and Marice Carson.
