Christy Ann Darity was born on March 11, 1960 to the late Pervis Brown and Ella Ruth Snipes Kendrick Griffin.  She was a righteous servant of the Macon County Community.  She attended the Public School System of Macon County.  Christy was employed at Summerhill Nursing Facility, Montezuma Healthcare and Roses Express of Montezuma, Georgia until her health failed.

Christy loved everybody she came in contact with.  She always had a smile on her face.  She had the type of personality that everybody loved.  Christy loved singing at all the family events.

Christy is preceded in death by her brother, Deacon Horace Mann Kendrick and two sisters, Emily Walker and Betty Wiggins.

On Tuesday, November 21, 2017, Christy Ann Darity embraced the call of the Lord and entered into eternal rest.  Cherished memories of her life will forever live on in the hearts of her companion of 20 years, Walter Lewis Darity of Montezuma, Georgia; her loving and devoted children, Bran Akine of Athens, Georgia, Justin Griffin and Caleb Darity, both of Montezuman, Goergia;  2 grandchildren, Honesty and Ca’Ziyah; one sister Annie Kate (Michael White of Ellenwood, Georgia; two brothers, Eddie L. Griffin of Atlanta, Georgia and gary Griffin of Augusta, Georgia; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Helen Kemp of Butler, Georgia, Sandra Kendrick of Garden Valley, Georgia, Irene Reese of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Lois (Delacy) Cochran of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Kathy (Charles) Mann, of Montezuma, Georgia, Billie Jean (Tony) Martin of Byron, Georgia and Peggy Johnson of Americus, Georgia; a mother-in-law, Katherine Dunham of Oglethorpe, Georgia and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
